The Melbourne 2004 Convention further expanded on the issues raised in the previous conventions and as well as adopting new subtopics with specific focus on Sustainable Development and Growth. The 2004 convention is indeed an opportunity to review theories and the practical experience that has revolved around these issues in PNG. Academics from the Universities in Australia, PNG Scholars in Australia, Private Sector representatives in Australia and Selected representatives from key PNG government agencies who have had long-term research interests in PNG and the Pacific will be guest speakers at the conference.
